Steel Mains manufactures steel pipeline systems in a comprehensive range from 100mm to 2500mm nominal diameter, including all ISO and Australian Standard diameters. Pipes can be manufactured in a range of effective laying lengths from 6.0 to 13.4 metres, with wall thicknesses ranging from 5mm to 20mm.
Sintakote, a factory-applied external fusion medium density bonded polyethylene coating, provides superior external corrosion protection in almost all operating environments. It is recognised by the water industry as the premium corrosion protection system for steel water pipelines, is widely specified in marine piling applications, and can be installed above or below ground.
Pressure ratings are determined by pipe diameter, wall thickness and steel strength: Sintajoint is typically rated up to 4.25 MPa for diameters to DN1000, while fully welded joints support higher pressures. Applications span potable water and wastewater pipelines, above and below ground, in aggressive soils and under direct UV, as well as marine piling.
